The heating system was in place !
Some silly f ucker (who I will not name), had not connected it properly

Got all the way to Port Vale's carpark for it to be called off on a Tuesday night. Not so bad; until I point out that I was in the boot of a car the whole way up :hehe:

Sure that was pre-Tan? It was December 2009
Re: Your Worst Match Postponements ever.......
Scarborough away in the early 90's as it was only called off about an hour before kickoff. Stepped of the train at the station to be immediately told to turn around and go home grrrrr

As stated above we had undersoil heating but finances didn't allow to us to get a plumber in to connect it up! Honestly. I think a certain Peter Ridsdale was still in charge then.

I goto the same car park to find the game had been called off. It was hard to tell at the time as the expected crowd was so low the fact there wasn’t many people there didn’t give us a clue that the match had been postponed
I also almost got to Shrewsbury on a Tuesday night with Thames valley bluebird ( in the days when he did every game home and away in every competition! 😞) starting out from Portsmouth before finding the game was off.
Also on the M6 for that Bolton cup game and we had planned a night out up there too with my Bolton mates ( think that was when there were rumours Sam Allardyce had left the sprinklers on as he wanted the game postponed as they had so many injuries at the time 😄)
Re: Your Worst Match Postponements ever.......
That you Rob?
If it's not i did the same 😂

Was at this one as well, bought tickets on to the Kippax, then escorted to city end!

Brentford v CITY Jan 1 2002. I was staying in London anyway but like a twat I went to Griffin Park, hungover, with the missus. Oh how we didn’t laugh.

Got all the way, to all 3, to have the game called off.
I remember the Hartlepool one we stayed in their Corner flag club

Re: Your Worst Match Postponements ever.......
Macc Town were due to play at Maidstone this evening. Game postponed as the home team couldn't field a team due to an accident on the M25. Macc Town and the officials were there as were some of the Macc fans. Game now postponed - that is a shitty midweek trip to have cancelled at about 7:30PM.
