Wales World Cup qualifying group 2014

Looked at this the other day. We were drawn in the following group

Belgium
Croatia
Serbia
Scotland
Macedonia
Wales

Wow. I think we were bottom seeds for the draw. What a horrible group.

I think we were bottom seeds, Faroe Islands took our place in pot 5 after making a complaint or something. Wasn't this the catalyst to us "gaming the system"?

I've just looked at the seeds for that draw, its remarkable how much international football has changed in such a short period of time. We drew Croatia from pot 1 which included Greece and Norway whilst Belgium were in pot 3! Despite being in pot 6 we easily could have had a group consisting of Norway, Montenegro, Belarus, Lithuania and the Faroe Islands!

Think it sums up the madness of seedings

We were never going to get a realistic chance of qualifying from that pot.
We should never have allowed our ranking to fall so far.
