Just realised Man City away will probably be off aswell
Semi final weekend that. Very likely they will be in it.
If so as in addition to my other thread that’s potentially just one game between 9th March and 13th April!

Trust us to get screwed over by other clubs' cup runs

Perhaps they can rearrange Brighton for that weekend! (after they lose in the next round!)

A ridiculous suggestion I know, but maybe we could actually try to win a cup game of our own from time to time.

Re: Just realised Man City away will probably be off aswell
At least we will be nice and fresh, whatever that means
-
Re: Just realised Man City away will probably be off aswell
Could mean a lot of aways squashed into a short period

If Man City keep progressing in champions league also then our game v them could be tricky to rearrange.
As a poster above says hopefully one of Brighton or Man City won’t be in the semis so we can still play on the Saturday 6th April.

I think your spot on, our quality players are short in numbers ,squad has not real depth , and those we are playing are being run into the ground.
Cup runs are for another time .

With a probable five free weekends until early April this year? We're only playing forty matches this season as well.

2016 has passed. Maybe 2020 then.

We must be a much better team than I thought, if we can pick and choose when we go on a cup run.

2 finals in the last 11 years. Probably no more than a dozen clubs have achieved that in the same period.
However it’s been a bit bare since.
On the other hand in the last 2 seasons we’ve had enough excitement in the league.

Domestic top flight games aren't allowed to be scheduled on champions league nights so it wouldn't make a difference.

Re: Just realised Man City away will probably be off aswell
Going on previous years, the Brighton game is most likely to be rearranged for 2/3 April, a midweek game.
Any fantasy football obsessives will know that the cup causes double gameweeks, which is what this will become.
-
Re: Just realised Man City away will probably be off aswell
The Man City game would probably be rearranged for midweek before the last day of the season, which would make our last two games Man City away and Man Utd away.

If Brighton dont get thru, they are due to play Spurs away on 6th April

Wow. Would you take needing 1 point from those 2 games for safety if that’s the case?

I can see our club not accepting these days as it would mean 3 jong aways in the space of 7 days, unless Man City were involved in the semi-finals.
This is turning into a MARE !!!!!

Re: Just realised Man City away will probably be off aswell
man city would've won the league by then...remember Huddersfield getting a vital point off a hung over Citeh last season

The problem is that there are very few gaps for games to fit in.

Re: Just realised Man City away will probably be off aswell
Maybe swansea will beat them and it will be on anyway?
