Agree with this. However be wary of their finance deals. If your buying cash or via your own finance I'd highly reccomend them.
Re: Best place to buy a car?
Got to agree. Bought a car from them 12 months ago but as the last poster says, avoid their finance if you can.

Cheers for the replies so far.
He's paying up front so no need for finance.
I'll send him down there for a look.
Re: Best place to buy a car?
You'll never get a focus for that kind of money etc etc

Before he visits I suggest he looks online first. https://www.motorpoint.co.uk/used-cars
Most cars at Motorpoint are nearly new so he might struggle to find something within his budget.

Re: Best place to buy a car?
Gary Watson motors in Barry. He can be a bit pricey but good quality cars.
Re: Best place to buy a car?
Skinners in Tredegar - Always very good prices, reliable cars and good service. They don't swarm around you when you just want to browse like the big horrible car supermarkets. My old man has had about 6 cars from there in 10 years and not 1 issue.
Re: Best place to buy a car?
I've had no issues with a motor purchased from Jeff White.

Sounds like your old man didn't keep the cars long enough to have any issues

Avoid Motorpoint, absolute joke of a company. I would say Ron Skinner's but I doubt he has anything at those prices.
Re: Best place to buy a car?
I'd check with Motor point that you are not buying, a non UK spec import car, bought my current car from Evans Hallshaw, kents and ones to avoid.

I've often wondered why so many on here persistently extract the urine out of you, I wonder no more.

Re: Best place to buy a car?
If you are mechanically minded, or no of someone who is, to drag along.. then auctions are a good place to pick up a bargain. You have online auctions to which you can go check out the car before you bid.

Not all his cars, I think 3 of his own, 2 of them for my mother and also one for my younger brother when he passed his test
I also bought my first 2 cars from there.
