Re: What car do you drive?
In the last 8 months I've driven just about every car you can think of from a Merc 350 down, and the 2 best were the golf C and a 420 convertable bmw. but you had to move the bmw seat all the way back to get in and out or it was impossible lol

Re: What car do you drive?
Driving a Merc E 350 diesel convertible .Probably the best car I have ever owned because it has performance , sensible on fuel and superb comfort. Bought it after Arfur Europe came in the garage with one .
Also have a Porsche Boxster S , hairdressers car ? Not at all great fun car . It’s 2003 so didn’t cost the earth.
I have a souped up 1990 mini Cooper which only comes out in the sun.
Just imported a 1995 T4 transporter from Jersey which I am going to bling up and make into a day van .
One of our courtesy cars is Peayays dads old car.
Another is my old Audi estate with a fantastic 320000 miles on it . Cars will go on forever as long as you look after them.

I've got an original Mini too. Only done 29,000 miles from new with all the old MOT's and service history. I'm thinking of selling it if you know of anyone looking for one.

Unfortunately they aren’t worth much these days . I could help you out though and take it off your hands.
How much do you want for it?

Not sure what its worth, JJ. Its a 1996 Sidewalk, 1275cc with fsh. Drives spot on, but I haven't used it or started it in over 2 years. Its just sat in my garage. Bought it as an investment, but I have my eye on a MK1 Escort that my mate is thinking of selling, so I might need the garage space. Any idea of the value?

Its the injection model, have you checked it for rust ?
I did come unstick with one of them , had a quick look and parted with my cash , bloody thing was like a sieve , rot everywhere .
If it is a nice one 3 k maybe . I would have a look if you are really selling . It could be worth more , you can never tellwith minis.
I value mine around 7k but it has had lots done to it ..

Re: What car do you drive?

Took a mechanic with me when I bought it, and he had a good look underneath it. There's a plate been welded on one of the sills (why don't they just replace the sill) and a little bit of bubbling around the headlight. It's like new inside with a blue and red tartan interior.
I haven't checked on it for over a year since I sold my motorbike that I hardly ever used.
I'll have to dig out my garage keys and go and have a look at it to see if its still as nice when I parked it up.

Was going to put it up for £2995 as it is, or get it Mot'd and ask around £3995 for it.

My Wife drives a 420 convertible, great car, but as you say not the most practical - you need to throw a six to get into the back !

Still in Brynmawr. Will have to try and find my garage keys, JJ. They're about here somewhere. I'll go and have a look at it midweek and let you know what sort of condition its in. Should imagine it will be ok, as garage is sound.
