Interesting batting lineup tonight but it worked
Three tough games to finish, but, looking at the forecast for Taunton there has to be a chance that our match with Somerset tomorrow will be called off - having got ourselves into this position, that wouldn't be too bad an outcome for us.
We'll have to bat with far more resolution at Hove on Tuesday than we did there in the county championship and, given our record there, I'd rather us be playing Surrey at the Oval in the final match. One win from our last three games may well be enough for us to qualify though and taking into account the confidence and authority we showed last night, you'd back Glamorgan to get it.
Fingers crossed
What on Earth has happened ? Somerset 126-5 (14.4 ovs) to 201-6 (19.0 ovs) :yikes:
That's the nature of T20.... stupid game :hehe:
6 down now. Not looking good.
Glammy on Sky Sports Cricket now away at Sussex (must-win, really)
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/scorecard/ECKO43018
Sussex 186 20 overs
Glamorgan started with 49-0 from the first 4 overs.
Meschede opening the batting.
Bit of wobble now 2 quick wickets
Hogan has sadly become a liability. We have conceded far too many runs when he has bowled at the death this season. Lose this and it’s out of our hands for qualification
total shite 87-6 ruined my visit to Hove
fvckin pathetic
From 49/0 to 88/8 is woeful. If Sussex best Glos on Thursday it’s curtains as I can’t see them losing to Middlesex. We have lost this and the Somerset games by conceding far too many runs in the last few overs. It’s about time Ingram realised Hogan cannot bowl at the death any longer.
this sucks, embarassed by a shit batting performance
Salter is a joke, Lloyd useless and we looked like p1ssed pub side batting
Wow lost ten wickets for 39. Even by our low standards that’s shocking. Back from America on Thursday and was planning to go Friday night but will give it a swerve.
Last 4 wickets in 4 balls (5 in 11). Hatrick for the last 3.
As collapses go that's right up there.
surrounded by happy sussex fans, thankfully had a few beers, glam needs an exocet and croft should feck off
Forgot they were on the box (thank feck!) and just checked the score.
Wowzer! :yikes:
Well beaten sadly.
Like Sunday , let opposition get far too many runs in last 6 or 7 overs with Wagg on Sunday and Hogan tonight getting walloped then an embarrassing almighty collapse today after looking good for 5 overs:facepalm:
Okay, Sussex are, rightly. reckoned to have a very strong bowling attack, but Glamorgan's last three totals against them have been 85, 88 and 88 over a three week period. In limited overs cricket, Ingram can at times hide the inherent batting weakness we have in all forms of the game, but our lack of capable specialist batsmen means that we are a side crammed with bits and pieces cricketers in T20 cricket - it says so much that the teenager Carlson is probably our second most reliable batsman in this form of the game.
