I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to attaching the name "Legend" to a City player. From my point of view a City legend needs to have a record of long service together with achievement and to be an ex-player. So, for me, Whitts is not a legend at the moment but will be when he packs it in. The word legend seems to be applied far too often and devalues the word. It seems to me that there are some undeserving names mentioned in this thread so far.
I will add Len Davies and Billy Hardy to the names already mentioned.

2 former players I would class as City legends were Cohen Griffith and Billy Ronson.
