Re: The Donald Trump thread
I had the fortune to catch about 15 mins of Donald chatting on fox yesterday. Amongst other things, I was a little surprised that he was chatting so freely about Cohen sorting out the Stormy Daniels matter for him.
No doubt his lawyers were also taken aback and jumped on the phone as the presenters cut him off early. "Well Mr President, you must be busy so we'll let you go"
He's lucky Fox is on his side as a president speaking so, let's say, candidly on live TV is absolute gold to anyone else.

I expect the gold card members of the fan club like gluey get special extras for events like this. He'll be dancing at a primary school that Trump visits, or something.

I asked whether that was the best you could come up with not whether you could find a reference to the NYPD passing information to the FBI. Still looking for the reason why the Hillary lovers did not leak the Russian investigation all over the place.

Out of interest how do you know this? Either it is wishful thinking or an irony of someone leaking information about an investigation into potentially leaked information.

Simply looking at what is coming out from both sides. Don't forget I called all of this early last year already.

In the unlikely event of you being right given the amount of spurious tosh you have provided in that year then the old adage of a broken clock being right sometimes comes to mind.

Another sign of their fear is that the National Enquirer (a newspaper that is heavily pro-Trump and it has been alleged to have bought other embarrassing Trump stories then not published them) has started going after Michael Cohen. They are trying to paint him as an untrustworthy liar (we already know that!) as they are really concerned that he will flip to save his skin and spill beans all over Trump's bedspread.

The core argument of Giuliani’s media appearances was that there was no campaign money involved in the payment to Daniels and therefore there would be no campaign violation.
But during a Thursday morning interview with “Fox & Friends,” Giuliani alluded to the idea that campaign considerations played into the October 2016 payment to Daniels.
“Imagine if that came out on October 15th, 2016, in the middle of the, you know, last debate with Hillary Clinton,” Giuliani said. “Cohen didn't even ask. Cohen made it go away. He did his job.”

I wouldn't give him that much praise, he only nullified a line of enquiry. The fella is a former United States Attorney, so he should know his onions. What could worry the Dems though is that it was in the Southern District of New York.

Re: The Donald Trump thread
Donald speaks personally on the matter ..
Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump 8h
"Mr. Cohen, an attorney, received a monthly retainer, not from the campaign and having nothing to do with the campaign, from which he entered into, through reimbursement, a private contract between two parties, known as a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA. These agreements are very common among celebrities and people of wealth. In this case it is in full force and effect and will be used in Arbitration for damages against Ms. Clifford (Daniels). The agreement was used to stop the false and extortionist accusations made by her about an affair, despite already having signed a detailed letter admitting that there was no affair. Prior to its violation by Ms. Clifford and her attorney, this was a private agreement. Money from the campaign, or campaign contributions, played no roll in this transaction."
