Much as I would have liked him to be a success at City, he obviously wasn't up to the rigours of playing for a side pushing for promotion. Forest are a mid table side with limited ambitions this season and who have the luxury of being able to give him games to get fully fit. Who knows, he might return to us in the summer a better/fitter player who can make more of an impact.
He won’t be coming back.
Sometimes it just doesn’t work out. I think JR is right saying he’s a great player but doesnt fit at Cardiff
Re: Championship games tonight
Being back home in the East Midlands might just make it easier for him to knuckle down and focus on his football ?

Late equalisers against Reading are clearly his speciality.

Maybe he is fitter than what Warnock reckons he is? Mind you, we mustn't question Warnock's impeccable judgment, what with him spunking the best part of £2m on Tomlin in the previous transfer window.

Why did Warnock spend £2m on him if he wasn't up to the "rigors of a side pushing for promotion"? Was Warnock expecting a relegation fight?
Re: Championship games tonight
Let's put the fee for Tomlin into perspective.
We paid 700,000 for Spencer prior in 2001.
