Re: A question about improving support

Crystal Palace are about as close as it gets in this country to the German fan culture , with their ‘ultra’ section behind the goal (Holmsdale end??)

They seem to have nailed the home atmosphere…...

    Re: 25000 sold for Sunday

What’s your evidence to back that up?? I’ve averaged 5/6 away games a year for 25 years, and there is a significant number of youngsters travelling every other week, on top of the old heads. I’d say...

Re: Transfer deals during the Warnock era

What was so iffy about the Schwinkendorf signing??

I was at his debut, which was away to Burnley (1-1, Richard Carpenter, last game before the uni Christmas break from memory!!)… and I can still...
  4. Re: Would you let your 14 year old son go one his own to Blackpool away?

And that’s where things are so different… crime, violent or otherwise - might be down significantly compared to the 70s/80s/90s, when most of us grew up… but we were streetwise compared to todays...
  5. Re: Would you let your 14 year old son go one his own to Blackpool away?

I think 14 is too young… stuff can and does happen. I’d be twitchy letting him go at 16 tbh, but you can’t really stop it then.

    Re: Enough is enough

Yeah, ‘Coz the regular attendance of Samesh Kumhar or Tony Clemo back in the day really added to the clubs stability and security 🙄

    Get a ****ing grip.

Re: Cost of Going to Qatar

So, my view on that was that I can get pissed any day of the week at home. I’m unlikely to go to a World Cup again where all teams and games are in such close proximity. So I just watched football. 9...

Re: Cost of Going to Qatar

Qatar really wasn’t anywhere near as expensive as was made out. We ate in the mall of Qatar mostly, because our Villa was pretty close. Loads of variety, and prices comparable or even slightly...

Re: Atmosphere at World Cup games

I went to 9 games last week. Tunisia blew me away - they were amazing. Morocco were decent, and then there were the South and central Americans. 80k Mexicans travelled. They were like cockroach’s-...

    Re: Wales Would Have Won

It’s absolutely their right. It’s the hypocrisy that really gets to me. As though we are the bastions of virtue and moral standing.

It’s only 50 years since some of the laws forbidding homosexual...

  14. Re: Anyone Remember Shipping 6 At Port Vale ?

Stoke on Trent is made up of several towns, which collectively form the City. Burslem being one of them, which is where Vale Park is. Most Vale fans tend to come from Burslem and Tunstall. I lived...

Re: May 7th, 2012. Ten years ago today

Are you referring to the pine man?? He was a bit of a wind up merchant, but that post was far too well written to be him.

The chap who wrote that post sadly isn’t with us any more. Huge city fan, used to run supporters coaches.
  18. Re: An astonishing aerial view of central Cardiff from 1923

Did the canal run all the way down through Bute street to the Bay?
  19. Re: An astonishing aerial view of central Cardiff from 1923

That’s an amazing photo. I never realised there was a canal at the bottom of st Mary’s street

Re: Thirty years since the Ely riots.

I was about 10/11 at the time. My old man was working the riots. Never really said much about it - other than a petrol bomb landed at his feet and frightened the life out of him.

    Re: Bitcoin update.

No equipment required. You can usually commit your stake to the liquidity pool directly from your wallet. In the case of zilliqa, you can use zillet or moonlet.

    Re: Bitcoin update.

I’m particularly interested in the staking rewards people are getting.

I stake Zilliqa. Get just under 15% at the moment. In addition, you get a governance token called gZil for every 1k Zil you...

Poll: Re: Welsh Elections 2021 poll

Joel Williams. Currently councillor for Pontprennau and St Mellons. He’s young, but impressive. He’s running for Cardiff North in the assembly elections I believe. Think he will go far.
