Re: Football Special Trains , The Good Old Days

Couldn't get a ticket for the Special to Portsmouth as it was sold out. We persuaded a taxi driver outside the station to take us there and back for £90. Split between four it was not much more...
  2. Re: FT: COVENTRY CITY 0 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Reminds me of the Alan Durban days when after a particularly tedious 0-0 draw one newspaper report started:

"Under Alan Durban Cardiff City are a hard team to beat and an even harder one to watch".

Re: Is having 3 centre backs our problem?

I think today our problem was having no centrebacks

Re: Coronavirus update - ALERT LEVEL ZERO

  8. Re: Reaction to latest defeat a reflection of how bad things have got at Cardiff City.

He didn't say he played well. He said he had one of his better games. That is not incompatible with him playing terribly.:hehe:

  10. Re: Covid vaccine and test passes to be introduced in Wales

There's also the problem for people like me who are retired. I'm used to pottering around and doing a few household chores at my own pace but my wife is now working from home and I can't put my arse...

    Re: Life affirming.

I know it's pathetic of me and I should know better at my age, but when I hear the phrase "I can feel it coming in the air tonight" I childishly think Collins is singing about having a wank. And I...

  13. Re: The moral of the story for visiting goalies is.........

    In what way?
We scored in normal time. The time added on for the time he wasted gave them the chance to equalise

    Re: Niasse????????

How many chances did Jesus miss for Man City?

The difference is the top clubs create many more chances so can afford to miss a few. We need, and expect, our strikers to take every chance they get,...
  16. Re: The 2018 - 2019 Premier Season Match Prediction Thread - CHELSEA

I played bowls against Dilwyn when he played for Abertridwr. Excellent bowler and nice bloke. Although he did very scarily walk the entire length of the green to suggest politely to one of our...
  17. Re: MOTD 2 not impressed with us today at all then!

It is possible to lose but to still do some things well is it not? You yourself say "we did great". No acknowledgment of that from the pundits

By your logic there is no need for pundits other than...
  18. Re: MOTD 2 not impressed with us today at all then!

I think the gripe is that neither pundit gave us any credit for running Arsenal so close and just highlighted our weak areas.

Presumably Arsenal must have had weak areas as well as they conceded...

Maybe if he'd scored a few more goals the teams he played for would have finished higher.

  22. Re: OK, who's had the crappiest present this year?

I had the shits given to me by some ****er. I was on the bog all day and missed my Christmas Dinner. On the plus side I missed having to cook it as well.
  23. Re: WHAT A NIGHT ! We deserve "OUR NEIL" & he deserves us. MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN

If a Russell Slade side had put in the abject performance the NW managed side did against Wigan he would have been slaughtered on here. There is a lot of wishful thinking going on.
