Re: Our fanbase from the City of Cardiff (again)

After the move from Ninian Park, we were growing season on season. The club killed all momentum with the rebrand. There’s still plenty of former season ticket holders who either don’t go down or pick...

£60 which isn’t really that bad by todays standard.

Re: 20mph, summed up by a holidaymaker

I still can’t get my head around the backlash. 90% of the roads you use are 40+, it’s had very little impact on me.

Re: New Cardiff indoor musical arena

Are Live Nation involved in Bristol? If they’re not then it will never be competition for a Live Nation run Cardiff arena.

    Re: Wales HS2 funding Petition

The problem isn’t the Senedd, it’s Welsh Labour. I can’t stand the tories but the ‘one and a half party state’ we’ve ended up with breeds complacency.

Re: A question about improving support

I hate going over old ground but there’s still plenty who stopped going down following the rebrand. Considering how poor we’ve been, the rebrand, cost of living and COVID, our attendances aren’t that...
  7. Re: Wales playing korea at CCS Thursday- although ticket sales very poor

I rarely miss a Wales game but not bothering with Korea or Gibraltar. £28!! For all the good the FAW have done in recent years, they’ve misjudged this one.

    Re: Women's Footy

One of my boys coaches plays for City women. The girls are star stuck around her, having accessible role models is huge for them.

More visibility of the game and the friendly atmosphere is...

    Re: The Manics

He wrote 75% of the lyrics on Holy Bible. Without his edge and the grief of his disappearance, they were always going to change direction. There’s tracks post-Richey but Holy Bible is an absolute...

    Re: The Manics

They were never going to make another Holy Bible without Richie. I’d argue Holy Bible is one of the best albums of the 90s.

    Re: 25000 sold for Sunday

Family stand felt packed. Far less empty seats than the other games I’ve been to.

I think our crowds (home and away) are pretty good considering how divisive the last decade has been. Last season...

    Re: Trundle…..

I’d love for any of our lot to care as much as Trundle does.
  14. Re: Are the Welsh football pyramid missing a trick?

Last year Wales C played England C they beat them 4-0. Standard is probably higher than national league. It would be a decent level for most of our youngsters.
  15. Re: Mansfield Fans Away At Wimbledon , What Football Is All About

You lord it over people but you’re no different. You’ve choosen to support the more successful club over a local club. You try and justify it but you’re exactly the same. Any regulars from likes of...

I’m sure Penybont would have appreciated your support in the semis yesterday. Plastic.

Close Sloper Road but have them reach Central at the same time as City fans. What’s the point?

    Re: Wrexham for the prem?

Our attendances were very similar mid 90s. I know many people who wouldn’t watch us then but are now season ticket holders. No reason to think it won’t happen to the people of North Wales.

    Re: Wrexham for the prem?

They’re getting 9k now in the conference. They’re the same as us, sustain championship football and they could be pushing 20k+ no problem.

Re: Cost of Going to Qatar

You could get apartments for 2 for $85, these were widely available. All transport was free. Pint could be had in the fanzine for £11. I didn’t mind laying that as everything else was so cheap.

  22. Re: ARGENTINA v NETHERLANDS. Match thread, ko 7pm

There are a lot of neutrals over there supporting them, but they have taken more over than anyone else. They’re brilliant fans, I didn’t have a bad interaction with any of them and I spoke to...

    Re: World Cup Final Tickets

Cat3 through FIFA was £500, Cat1 is £1,300. Your mate either bought them on the secondary market or is full of shit.
  24. Re: Club getting desperate about Whitt's testimonial ticket sales?

My boys school in Caerphilly are offering free adult and child ticket for every pupil.

  25. Re: Senghenydd Colliery explosion - 109 years ago today

Growing up in the valley, you’re always reminded of it. Reading the list of names and addresses is entirely grim, an entire generation of men wiped from a small community. Nearly 100 victims from...
