  1. Re: My post about BBC Breakfast's montage of folk who had suffered bereavement in May 2020.......

    Consider yerself corrected.
    Once again.....
But I have written books and articles for several magazines.
Nice to be paid for writing drivel/rubbish. :-)
  2. My post about BBC Breakfast's montage of folk who had suffered bereavement in May 2020.......

    ......was hardly political.

Odd decision that it should be shunted onto the political forum, imo.

The BBC is 'apolitical' - or claims to be.......

    Re: Chisora v Parker 2

Chisora has virtually no defence and seems to bb hit at will by Parker - and some of those shots and combos are so clean!

  7. Re: Coronavirus update - ALERT LEVEL ZERO

In amongst the cautious optimism re: effect of Omicron variant on herd immunity, comes a cautionary report.

Many had the Pfizer 1 and 2 jab, and even more the Pfizer booster (including myself)....

    Re: F1 showdown

What I saw was that Hamilton was 11 secs ahead of Verstappen with about six laps to go. His tyres were degrading, but not enough for him to be caught.
When the safety car cleared, with one lap to go...

    This I get.
What I don't understand is where does the taxi come in?
    Is it the safety car....
....or do you mean taxi for Hamilton?

    Re: F1 showdown

I for one will not bother to watch F1 again.
That was a car crash of a race.
Destroyed by rules and regulations that no-one seems to understand.

    Re: The Miners Strike

That Scargill was prepared to use flying pickets says much about the man.
Sounds daring and adventurous doesn't it "Flying Pickets".
But they threatened violence and death.

    Re: The Miners Strike

Regrettably I have to agree that the NCB lied about pit closures. I've mentioned earlier that my relative was the Senior Deputy Chairman of the NCB and my research indicated that as the government's...

    Re: John Miles RIP

It's odd how some talented performers never really kick on from a bright start in the music industry and are reduced to trying to make a living as backing/session musicians. Miles won the...

In part, but the guy who masterminded the purchasing of players, Everton's director of football, Marcel Brands has taken most of the flak for Everton's plight and has left this week.

    Everton fans tonite

Seems unfair on players who are putting in a shift tonite, that some fans are leaving in protest and others standing.

Players may be trying too hard. That was a nasty boot in the face from Godfrey.
  19. Re: Monday, not Tuesday, for under 23s in the coming week.

Yeah. Leaks from valves. Found them on Saturday - and contacted the firm today. There was quite a pool on the stone kitchen floor, but I caught all the others in time. The boiler pressure seems to be...
  20. Re: Monday, not Tuesday, for under 23s in the coming week.

Nah - six leaks - five on rads and one from an ancient T all of which I've fixed. It was only when I had to re-pressure the boiler every day that I was alerted to a leak problem. I'm a bit miffed...
