    West Brom away tickets

Any news on when these will go on sale? Do we get a decent capacity? Thinking of taking my young boy to his first away and making a weekend of it as my sister lives a couple of miles away.

    Re: Boro score predictions

6-0. Glatzel hat trick. Possession 89%, passing accuracy 96%.
  4. Re: Rugby thread. If you don’t like the game, no need to click on

It'll be the one sporting event of the year I'll not watch a second of.

    Re: City On The Radio..

I wouldn't know, to be honest. Where I lived, I could never pick up their signal (or that of Red Dragon etc). Touch AM was hopeless in the evenings.

I would guess Radio Wales would have been the...

    Re: City On The Radio..

Thinking of Suarez, there are a few anecdotes about his time as a commentator.

When he was with Touch AM, he allegedly got a fan to carry on with commentary on one game in the bottom division...

    Re: City On The Radio..

Suarez was a DJ at CBC who was given commentary duties of City, and in addition, I believe he also commentated on Wales matches. He moved to Touch AM and was the logical choice when Real Radio...

    Phil Suarez

Just realised it's 17 years since the great man was sadly taken from us. Greatest City commentator ever, tannoy man, coach driver even. Legend.

    Re: Kévin Théophile-Catherine

I also remember that Sunderland game. It was the first after Malky was sacked. Kerslake took charge and we battered them with an attacking performance that was very good. Then came the last 10...

Re: Playing out from the back

Apparently, in the 1870s, Scotland bamboozled the English by passing the ball. Before that, football was largely a game where one player would run as far as he could with the ball until he lost it.

Re: Playing out from the back

What a load of bollocks. Where's the 50-50 challenges, the misplaced passes and the last gasp tackles to win the ball back for the keeper to launch forward, taking out half a dozen seagulls as it...

Re: Playing out from the back

Hilarious, trying to gain some sort of moral highground. Spoilt child? Pot, kettle etc. You're the tosser that rubs people up the wrong way then cries when you get it back. :hehe: Only one of us gets...

Re: Playing out from the back

I remember watching Atkinson's Villa a number of times in the 90s and to even consider the football that side played as similar as Warnockball shows you don't know what you're talking about.

    Also,...
  16. Re: Premier League side 2013/4 vs 2018/9

Ralls just missed out on appearances. I would hardly describe him as an attacking midfielder and there was only room for 2 centre midfielders if you include an attacking mid. Bamba and Morrison were...

  18. Premier League side 2013/4 vs 2018/9

Looking at Harry Lime's post about Theophile-Catherine, it made me consider which, head for head, was the better starting XI.

    Goalkeeper: Etheridge vs Marshall

Tough one. Marshall is still the...

  20. Re: Have you ever started a City song/chant that has stuck?

Yes. The time I wore a cheerleader's outfit on the Grange End, hair in pigtails, pom poms on each hand and started "Give us a 'C'".....
  21. Songs that you've got into because of adverts

I remember hearing Guns of Navarone by The Skatalites on an ad (chocolate?) around 20 years ago. Managed to find out what it was eventually. Became a fan of the old ska stuff ever since.
  22. Re: "a team who doesn’t really want to play".

I also think that, during our promotion season, he was very much an unknown quantity. I think we bought him as a right back, but I'm not confident in this. Warnock said he'd be a fan's favourite....
