  1. Re: New Training Ground - good news (probably)

When do you suggest we invest in our facilities then? There are 4 football pitches maximum at the Vale, and we have to share the facilities with other teams/sports.

    As mentioned, the Academy and...
  2. Re: New Training Ground - good news (probably)

Great news! This is the type of investment that will set us up for years, need to strike now with the PL cash rather than wait and see
  3. Re: New Training Ground - good news (probably)

Very good news, investing in infrastructure which will be a legacy for decades for this club. Plans look very good as well. Once we complete the training ground, we can look at investing in our...

    Re: FIFA have announced ....

I wouldn't be adverse to EPL teams not playing in the League Cup any more. It's treated as the ginger haired step child up until the quarter finals anyway. May even bring a little prestige back to...
  5. Re: WHAT MUSIC SHOULD THE TEAM RUN OUT TO ???

Always liked it when Hey Jude was played down at Ninian, should really get an airing as drums up the atmosphere

Re: Welsh / Anglo Welsh or British?

Would have called myself more British than Welsh not too long ago but after the shambles of the last few years, see myself increasingly Welsh and European in my idenitification
  7. Re: So have we sold out of season tickets then ?

If it looks like we are staying up come March, we should commence with the construction of a new end. Strike when the iron is hot. As has been mentioned, the second tier on the Ninian pays for itself...
  8. Re: So have we sold out of season tickets then ?

I think with both ends expanded, that would take it to 38k. If the 2 corners were filled in, that would take it to 42k, and if the Grandstand was extended to the same height as the ends and the bowl...

    Re: GLAMMY

Scotland just beat England in an ODI :hehe:

Is it time Wales has a ODI/Twenty20 international team? Or even totally divorce itself and field a test team too like Ireland?
  12. Re: "Warnock, who accepts his budget will be limited this summer,"........

Tiers added to the ends, take capacity up to 38k (fill in corners to 42k as well if needs be). Strike when then iron is hot. Construction prices are going up all the time. The current tier expansion...
  13. Re: "Warnock, who accepts his budget will be limited this summer,"........

Prefer money be spent firstly on the training ground and secondly on the ground before spunking loads on players. A kitty of £30m max will do to be fair

    Re: Category 1 Academy

Would having a Category 1 Academy be linked to developing our own training ground at Hensol?

    Re: Cardiff Met FC

I did not know this, that surely has to be a game changer having a guaranteed 8 games in the Europa League group stage if I understand that correctly?

    Re: Cardiff Met FC

The WPL is improving in quality on a yearly basis, there is some decent money about and there is tidy TV coverage on S4C of the league. The nearest games for Merthyr currently are 2 hours away in...

    Re: Cardiff Met FC

Surely money like that will make Merthyr and Colwyn Bay turn their heads and realise it is better for them to play in the WPL rather than chase the impossible dream in the English system, especially...

Re: Premiership salaries - league table

This. Set a wage ceiling for £35-£40k max. Got to be sensible. Saying we should go out and blow £50 million is ridiculous. £20 to £30 million maximum, got to live within our means.

    Would much...
