Re: Not wishing to rain on our parade

I think the Premiership - apart from the top 3 or 4 - seem to have forgotten it's all about stopping goals and scoring goals.

Re: The clubs policy of charging a fiver

The new suede holders are great -you get a jingle reminder 2hrs before each home KO..
  3. Re: New Threatening Email Scam - Anyone Else ?

I think the stat is something like 70% of blokes have viewed porn online at sometime. Even if it's 50% that's an awful lot of men who are going to think it has a genuine connection to their online...

  5. Re: First ever home win in the Premiership in blue......

The 'Premiership' is the 1st division with a different name, though don't tell the Sky commentators - they think football began in 1992..
  6. Re: Gunnars made a difference today - did he go off injured?

    [QUOTE=Chris Pontprennau Blues;4922145]Hope he is OK :thumbup:[/QUOT

So glad he's back, looks comfortable at this level. Incredible how so many on the boards don't rate him.

Agreed. Kept his cool when setting up the 4th as well..
  8. Re: Fantastic Day. One to remember but how shit was Kevin Friend?

City players were in the referee's face from the 1st minute. Not that I mind, as until today it's not something they've been doing...

I think he said something along the lines of "...in years gone by, will we be calling these the boys from Betis.."

    Re: Gunnar ....

In recent years I haven't seen a City player commit so much on the pitch, week in week out, as Gunnarson. Compared to the lazy Whittingham who relied on his undoubted skill to mask his lethargy,...
  11. Re: Is British opinion being fashioned by young, inexperienced "professionals" ?

Ironically, as the UK becomes increasingly dumbed-down in all aspects, a new elite has emerged over the last couple of decades who dictate and form and judge and lecture to the rest on how to live...
  12. Re: Is British opinion being fashioned by young, inexperienced "professionals" ?

Why those papers ? Same can be said of the Mirror, Observer, Guardian. People buy the paper that closest matches their opinions, not the other way around..

    Re: Really?

No doubt someone will back me up with stats, but Wales' record at the home of rugby is utterly abysmal. And it's going to be even worse now that Giggs wants Wales to play the ball around going...

    Re: Nihal Arthanayake Radio 5

Peter Allen was a heavyweight compared to the lightweights on Radio 5 now. The 8 o'clock news usually begins with the headline '...according to a BBC survey', then devoted the nest hour to discussing...

Re: Ralls red card appeal rejected

Extremely hard, workmanlike player who seems to have been elevated to the status of midfield genius by some. Probably the most one-footed player I've seen, and like a table footballer, can't turn...

    Re: Business Milage

the 45p/25p rates are meant to cover all costs that a driver incurs on business, so if you're getting a monthly allowance as well then you can't [legitimately] claim the full allowances..
  18. Re: anyone done a tour of the WW 1 / 2 sites in Europe

I agree. Have been to Oradour and also stopped at several WW1 cemeteries when travelling in Northern France. Remember one where the road goes right through the middle and [nearly] every driver slows...

    Re: Zohore.....again

A couple of seasons back he lost the ball, chased back 30yds to tackle the defender on the half way line, won the ball, rang back at the defence, played a one-two, and nearly scored. He can do it, he...

    Re: Zohore.....again

you almost feel grateful when you see Zohore chasing down a defender. He's got talent for sure, but what's undeniable is unlike his teamates, he rarely puts in 100%.

  25. Re: Single goal defeat at Wembley sends ten man Cardiff to the bottom of the table.

Defensively last season we were strong, but still made basic errors. The difference is players in the Prem. are sharper, quicker, more alert and likely to capitalise on our mistakes/hesitancy....
