  2. Sticky: Re: MILLWALL v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

A game between the two worst teams in the division for possession, passing accuracy and percentage of long balls launched per game. Sounds like a cracker...
  3. First 6 away games - a comparison

    2017/18 - W3 D1 L2 F6 A7 Pts 10
    2018/19 - W0 D1 L5 F2 A13 Pts 1
    2019/20 - W0 D3 L3 F7 A13 Pts 3

Interesting to note that we've conceded as many goals away to Wigan, Blackburn, Reading, Derby,...
  4. Re: Who has been the best performing striker under the reign of Warnock?

Dare I suggest Paterson, who scored 4 in 14 in the Premier League. That was a better return per game than we had from Zohore the season before.

    Re: I'm sticking with Neil

For me, the question needs to be 'what do we gain by keeping Warnock for the season'? We're not going down. We're unlikely to go up; while some might argue that we're not that far off, we've seen...

Re: Pub in Centre for Jack game?

Thinking the same. Couldn't stand the thought of a pub full of pissed eggers.
  7. Re: Are we still confident that Warnock will deliver promotion this season?

Is that Warnock's version of Warnockball or Big Ron's version of Atkoball?

    Strikers

12 games gone. 12 games in which the striker in the starting line up has scored a total of 2 goals. Both netted by Glatzel and includes one penalty.

Over those 12 games, Warnock has replaced his...
  9. Re: With luck like this, maybe Cardiff City will be unbeaten at home all season?

I have fond memories of that 2000/01 season when we went unbeaten at home. Wasn't it 4 matches that we rescued in injury time alone?
  10. Re: Come on then, team to beat those Jack bstds

That'll be one for the purists.

    Re: Robbie James

I disagree. I can think of loads that would have been better off left back in the changing room.
  12. Come on then, team to beat those Jack bstds

Smithies (nothing against Etheridge, but if we concede possession to them we won't see the ball for an hour and Smithies distribution is much better)

    Peltier Morrison Flint
    Pack
    Bacuna Ralls...
  13. Re: Question: when did City last score from a direct free kick?

    Prediction. Tomlin will tonight.

    Re: Friday Night Games

TLG was moaning about our lack of score draws only a month or so ago. Bloody amateur!

Re: Wednesday not happy with our goal

Any keeper that leaves one side of the goal that exposed deserves shooting. Sod Flint's antics. His positioning made up Tomlin's mind. Surely, by leaving that amount of free space he was inviting a...

    2 years ago against Wednesday

Wasn't it a Tomlin free kick (albeit that hit the post and was followed in) that rescued a point against Wednesday at home after a dire performance?
  18. Re: CARDIFF CITY v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY: Match thread

I'm away for the weekend and only managed to see the last 10 minutes or so. I'm guessing that wasn't a reflection of the game as a whole?
  19. Re: Guardiola vs Warnock - Different Philosophies, Same Inspiration

They could get Celtic to do better in the Champions' League.
  20. Re: Guardiola vs Warnock - Different Philosophies, Same Inspiration

I bet you any money that Pep and Klopp in charge of Man City and Liverpool would consistently finish above Warnock and Lennon in charge of Man City and Liverpool.

I also bet you any money that Pep...

  23. Re: Guardiola vs Warnock - Different Philosophies, Same Inspiration

That was the flawed logic used by many in keeping him on - it was as if he would almost guarantee promotion. :hehe:
  24. Re: Guardiola vs Warnock - Different Philosophies, Same Inspiration

Do you not think that the reason managers, like Warnock, win 8 promotions and managers, like Pep, Fergie, Mourinho and other successful managers at the top end of the game, haven't won all those...
