Re: Time for another grounds quiz.

No 1 - Clapton Stadium ? If so it's Freddie Hill who scored there not Charlie (Midge) Hill.

Gabriel Tamas - our one and only Rumanian player.
  7. Re: 21st October 1970 ECWC Cardiff v Nantes

The Cup replay in 69/70 did go to extra time so you may well have had a 'tolchocking', however it finished 1-1 and we had to play a 2nd replay at St Andrews a few days later which we lost 1-3.

    Re: Thanks Neil but goodbye

The time to say 'thanks Neil and goodbye' was probably last May and a more football-savvy owner and board would have done that. At this stage I'm not sure it would make a lot of difference unless a...
  16. Re: Quiz Question. Who was the last striker we signed from Nantes ?

Yes - let's hope Sala is a little more prolific.
  17. Quiz Question. Who was the last striker we signed from Nantes ?

I was surprised to discover that if we do sign Sala he won't be the first striker we've signed from the French club.
  18. Re: Six decades of Cardiff City v Newcastle United matches.

I think Trewick and Varadi scores for Newcastle in that Feb 82 meeting. Clarke wasn’t in the Newcastle side that day.
  19. Re: Six decades of Cardiff City v Newcastle United matches.

I think that's right though I'm not sure he scored for Newcastle against City - only for Sunderland in 1978.

    Re: Cardiff's "modest" success.

i too thought Phil Dwyer but he only played in four of those first six games. Can't think of anyone else though.
