  2. Sticky: Re: CARDIFF CITY v SOUTHAMPTON. Match thread.

We've won our last 7 second tier meetings between the two at home on the trot, all by a single goal.

Agreed. Peter Drury doesn't seem to suit the big matches.

    Re: Monday Night Football

And great to hear commentary from Martin Tyler on the international feed.
  5. Re: Come on. Hands up. Whos willing to admit they were wrong

No he hasn't, but it sums up your attitude to arguments with other posters to a tee.
  6. Re: Looking at Burnley shef United and Luton did we actually do quite well in the Premier under warnock

I think we were one of only a few sides to ever get relegated with 10 wins. Much like this season, we couldn't get some draws instead of defeats.
  7. Poll: Re: Time to get of the fence. Should Bulut go or stay.

If our negative tactics had meant we'd conceded less and been harder to beat I wouldn't have had an issue, but since he implemented that we've lost more games and conceded more goals.
  8. Re: Looking at Burnley shef United and Luton did we actually do quite well in the Premier under warnock

Perhaps you'll stop creating them, then.
  9. Re: Looking at Burnley shef United and Luton did we actually do quite well in the Premier under warnock

I imagine that's how the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Preston felt this season!
  10. Poll: Re: Time to get of the fence. Should Bulut go or stay.

They're on target to be one of the highest scoring top 4 sides in the history of the 24 team 2nd tier. Leeds have 19 clean sheets, Ipswich 14, Leicester 13, Southampton 11.
  11. Poll: Re: Time to get of the fence. Should Bulut go or stay.

We've certainly won more games that were destined to be draws than we've lost, which is one of the reasons we're as high up the table as we are.

8th best this season for clean sheets yet one of...

    Re: Liverpool

Loads of them everywhere. That's what success breeds. I remember seeing lots more Leicester shirts after they won the title.

If we were to win the PL a few times we'd have hordes following us...

    Re: Liverpool

I'd like to see Villa get the last Champions' League spot. Spurs have had their chances there and they've got a horrific run in.
  14. Re: Players you thought would be great but turned out to be...

In 2006 I boldly predicted that Luigi Glombard would be our top scorer that season.
  15. Re: Looking at Burnley shef United and Luton did we actually do quite well in the Premier under warnock

So you know what's going on inside my head when I'm posting, do you?
  16. Re: Looking at Burnley shef United and Luton did we actually do quite well in the Premier under warnock

Sorry, but you're the one looking for arguments here.
  17. Poll: Re: Time to get of the fence. Should Bulut go or stay.

This is just a load of stats just looking at all of this.

Runarrson - 8 conceded from 6 games (1.33 per game)
Alnwick - 33 conceded from 24 games (1.38 per game)
    Hovarth - 19 conceded from 13...
  18. Re: Looking at Burnley shef United and Luton did we actually do quite well in the Premier under warnock

    This is getting boring.
  19. Re: Looking at Burnley shef United and Luton did we actually do quite well in the Premier under warnock

These points tallies fluctuate. The average points for a team finishing in 18th since the PL became a 20-team division is 35.2. Only 7 teams have won fewer than 34 points and only once has that...
  20. Re: Looking at Burnley shef United and Luton did we actually do quite well in the Premier under warnock

We were relegated with a game to go. After we won at Brighton we had 4 games left and we were in 18th. We were 2 points adrift and Brighton (and Southampton a further 3 points above them) had a game...
  21. Re: Come on. Hands up. Whos willing to admit they were wrong

And that's the point. At the time our results and performances were very impressive. I doubt there was a City fan who, at that time, was sceptical of McCarthy. Harris didn't do too bad a job, but 1...

Fraizer. Not trying to be pedantic, more that it's the most unusual spelling I've ever come across of that name!!

Re: Is this Correct Eric ?

Parry played as a striker for us but wasn't signed as one. Never thought Whitts was a forward, more a free roaming midfielder with a license to get forward by Dave Jones, until Malky changed that.

Re: Is this Correct Eric ?

    Now here's a challenge.

    Iwan Redan
    Andrea Ferretti
    Jon Parkin
    Andy Keogh
    Alan Lee
    Adam Le Fondre
    Matt Green
