    Re: Clap for Boris

In my street the 2 NHS claps were well supported, fireworks, drums etc.

    Tonight - no-one.
  3. According to House of Games on BBC 2 tonight

There are over 3 times as many sheep in Wales as there are people.

Despite those odds, how come I'm never lucky?

    Re: 30 Ventilators

Then how come that, during the last supposed economic boom, where businesses were supposed to be more successful, this didn't particularly result in more full time jobs and better wages, but more...

    1957 cup final

Think this might have been one of the last of the Busby babes.

Curious match, void of any talent by today's standards.

Interesting challenge around 7 mins into the video. Header from Villa's...

  7. Re: Keir Starmer, the leader the tories fear the most

A centrist Labour party sort of defeats the object, but gets the vote.

I thought that, but then I looked at it about a week or so later and I thought the bomber had let rip.

    Re: 30 Ventilators

I'd argue that the working class need job security and better wages. For "opportunity to succeed", you mean treated like shit, paid badly, having no rights until you prove you're able to step up.

    Re: 30 Ventilators

I don't agree that the UK has been right of centre for some time. As Labour lurched from left to right under Blair, its majority lessened. Since the last Labour government we've had 2 coalitions, one...

    Re: 30 Ventilators

    :hehe:

Are you really suggesting that people buy newspapers based on the newspaper's political leanings?

Look at it another way. Suppose the Mail, Express and Sun all developed more left wing...
  16. Re: Covid 19.....You are going to get it ....100%

Add to that hospitals, public transport, anywhere where people are in contact with people from outside of your household. That's why isolation is so important.
  17. Re: Covid 19.....You are going to get it ....100%

If we do that there's no healthcare, so more people will die. If we need healthcare, we need public transport to allow people to get there and so on.

I guess we could get the army and volunteers...

  19. Re: Covid 19.....You are going to get it ....100%

Without doubt it's a lottery to some extent. A lottery we have more chance of winning if we keep our distance and stay at home.
  20. Re: Covid 19.....You are going to get it ....100%

What is the infection rate? Didn't I read somewhere that one cruise had a rate of less than 20%? It's obvious that if one person has it, not everyone will get it from them. While I don't think that's...

If it was down to left wing policies then why didn't that happen before? Brexit was the ultimate decider. Lots had had enough of it. Remained voted Tory just to get it sorted. Corbyn dithered and was...

How come Corbyn turned a massive deficit in the polls in 2017 into a hung parliament, based on left wing policies?
