    Re: Liverpool

I will be be glad when Klopp departs so I can go back to despising everything about Liverpool without using the caveat "but I like the manager". Would love Mourinho to be their new manager (fat...
  2. Re: Looking at Burnley shef United and Luton did we actually do quite well in the Premier under warnock

This is something I've often thought about but never bothered starting a thread on. Every point you make is a valid one and it should also be noted we didn't win a game until our 9th attempt (Fulham...

Re: Since that 2-0 win over Bristol City

The answer is no Bob. As recently as 2018/19 we only drew 4 of our 38 Premier League matches.

Re: Since that 2-0 win over Bristol City

Agreed it's not a strategy but the figures are quite startling. No team outside the top 6 have won more games than us and only 3 teams in the division have lost more games than us.

    Re: Harrison Bright: Newport County

Imagine a younger team of Ashford the Collwills, Isaak Davies , Tanner and him.

    Not expensive to assemble either[/QUOTE]

Re: Since that 2-0 win over Bristol City

I think Bulut's one saving grace is his ability to pick up frequent wins. Only once this season have we gone more than 3 league games without a win. Very few draws to add to our points total, so it's...

    Re: Next door barking dog

Not so much lazy as incredibly inconsiderate. Just because she didn't want the dogs in her house she thought it was perfectly acceptable for them to bark all day and all night in her back garden. I...

    Re: Next door barking dog

Pardon the pun but barking dogs are my pet hate. For about a year two dogs were barking night and day, and a neighbour would often scream "Shut those f**king dogs up, my baby is trying to sleep"

  10. Re: Another angle for this season - positions of teams we've faced at the time of fixture

Eric, presumably you compiled this before Birmingham slipped into the bottom three, as the Rooney-led team beat us on our patch.

    Re: The Chase

Many years ago we were the beneficiaries of a similar bad call from a question master whilst competing in the Cardiff Sports Quiz league. Our main rivals were asked to name the colours of the Wigan...

    Re: We’ve improved, but how?

You can't compare last season's points total with what we've accrued so far because we still have 5 games left. It is possible (though unlikely) that we could end up with 71 points.

    Regarding...

    Re: We have two choices...

As you alluded to, the one thing that may have a bearing on the club's decision is the dwindling crowds due to the poor fare on offer. If this is extended to a vastly decreased number of season...
  14. Re: Building for next season - reality check

Totally agree. He was a 7 out of 10 most weeks. Nothing spectacular but a good solid player, consistent and someone who never let the team down. Very underated.

    Norwich v Ipswich

Not surprising the Tractor Boys came unstuck against their arch enemy today. Norwich are now unbeaten in the last 14 matches between the pair.

Historically it couldn't be closer. Each have won 43...

Re: Prediction For Hull Game Should We Lose

In a way, the result is irrelevant. But if the performance is a la Sunderland then the knives will be out for him again.

  20. Re: FT: COVENTRY CITY 1 - 2 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

I think you're the one hoping for a defeat so you can criticise people who you think want us to lose, which is quite preposterous.

Your last paragraph could have been copied verbatim from many comments posted on here at the end of last season but we've far exceeded people's expectations position wise so far. And the club is no...

    The Managerial dilemma

Give him financial support to improve the side or recognise he's not up to much and tactically inept ?

    Re: Emerging Welsh wonder kids

I was also thinking that we're only a couple of 'special' players short of being ultra competitive but as long as we can unearth players of the quality of say Neco Williams on a regular basis, we...

True, anyone can miss a penalty, even the best players in the world. C'est la vie.
