  1. Re: Covid 19.....You are going to get it ....100%

I agree. If the vast majority of people, as we are led to believe, are following the "stay at home" advice wherever possible then the percentage of folk exposed to the virus could be quite small....
  2. Re: Covid 19.....You are going to get it ....100%

I have pondered on this myself. As a 70+ year old I am obliged to stay at home 24/7, so here I am in splendid isolation for the last 2 weeks and maybe many more weeks yet. It's not too bad, just...

    This is an interesting article:

    Re: Good neighbours

The Syrian refugee family we are looking after (or rather were, as we can't go and see them now of course as we are in the 70+ category) have offered to do the food shopping for us as we can't.

    Re: Coronavirus update

A man was walking on the Brecon Beacons today and he met God. He asked God what he was doing on the Beacons. God said "I'm working from home today".

    Re: Vitamins and Minerals

I always keep a good stock of 1g. effervescent Vit C tablets. If I ever I get a sore throat then I immediately take Vit C as for me historically a sore throat is usually the prelude to a cold or some...

Re: Trump: Failure on a massive scale

At the moment Trump is still supposedly rated very highly rated by US citizens. I suspect this attitude will change as rapidly as the spread of COVID-19 over there. He will certainly be blaming...

Ran out of toilet paper today, now using lettuce leaves. Today was just the tip of the iceberg, tomorrow romaines to be seen.

What a fantastic story of selflessness

This young nurse stayed with a man who was dying after he crashed into her car. All the more courageous as he possibly had the coronavirus and there's more that adds to the poignancy.....read on

    Re: Police State....

In west Wales, police turning back camper vans from whence they came - if that's Orwellian, tough, bring it on! Hopefully the message will get through and deter others from trying it.
  14. Re: Coronavirus: overhyped fear-mongering or potential mega doom?

Reality returns as US stock indices slip back down. Trump has found a new scapegoat as he blames General Motors for not making enough ventilators.
  15. Re: Coronavirus: overhyped fear-mongering or potential mega doom?

Further evidence of this insanity was provided today by the fact that all 3 main stock indices in the USA rose by about 6%. This despite the number of COVID cases reaching 82,000, the highest for a...
