    Re: Arm our officers

The officer won't have anything to worry about. One of his colleagues had just been murdered. He had to shoot and if necessary to kill to protect lives.
As for wholesale arming of the Police I would...

    Re: Martin McGuinness dies...

Spot on. Precious little coverage of this US led attack. As you say it will certainly create more terrorists. So the cycle continues

    Re: John Derrick RIP

Very sad news. Derrick did a cracking job as coach and we are a long way off the succees achieved when he was coach.
  7. Re: Jurgen Klopp is not happy with Chris Coleman

So Klopp thinks Woodburn is ready for the PL but not international duty? Woodburn won't start on Friday night but he may come on late on in the game. Bale debuted at a younger age than Woodburn and...

    Re: Martin McGuinness dies...

Did a lot of good in the past two decades and a lot of bad preceding that. So I can undersgand both the praise and bile surrounding his death. However as Colin Parry says he was brave and put his own...

Sadly the Tories will leave behind an education,NHS and social care system that has fallen apart because of their ideological hatred of the public sector.Still at least they managed to clear the...

    Re: the top six

Thats a bit harsh on my boys RJK but I admit the +2 goal difference is poor for a team in 5th place. We are capable of playing some good stuff when we quicken up the passing.Fulham have the ability...

Re: Great time to play Ireland

I can't see that Lawrence would have started. HRK is likely to start and he has not let us down. No more injuries please.

Re: Mike Dean upsets the Jackies

Hull have a great run in. Palace have a very tough run in and I reckon they will go down
  16. Re: Lots of bitter England fans peeved about Woodburn's call up

Great thread this. Part of the problem I have with what Chris says is that he is comparing Charles with Bale when the latter is only just halfway through his career. Bale will become our all time...

Re: The end of the France v Wales match (egg)

In the end it didn't matter. We will be second seeds which is ok.Had we won and Ireland lost we would have been top seeds.

Re: The end of the France v Wales match (egg)

Yep. It has pretty much reached that stage. Playing the advantage needs to be limited to say thirty seconds. To see refs playing advantage for phase after phase and then go back to the original...

Re: The end of the France v Wales match (egg)

It is very unlikely he could be certain the ball was grounded from where he was standing. It is the norm to go to the TMO these days but he clearly didn't want to given how long the game went on for....

Re: The end of the France v Wales match (egg)

In any other circumstance Barnes would have gone to the TMO to establish if the ball had been grounded over the try line. He will take a lot of flak.

Just watched Wild with Reese Witherspoon based upon the 1100 mile hike across the PCT by Cheryl Strayed in 1995. Beautifully filmed and Witherspoon is impressive. Really worth watching.
