    No Leo, poll is bogus

Re: Ali vs Lewis in their prime

Ali, Lewis would have given Ali a lot more problems than Tyson though.

Re: Ali vs Lewis in their prime

Ali vs Joe louis would of been the closest to call

Re: Ali vs Lewis in their prime

Lennox Lewis may have done a Bugner and gone the distance with Ali but he would have been soundly beaten.

Re: Ali vs Lewis in their prime

rocky marciano would have gone toe to toe with tyson, and battered him in a sluggers match.

but in the world of boxing, ali was the ultimate athlete nqat.

You could start a poll thread of Ali vs The 12th SS Panzer Division and people would be going "The Panzers wouldn't get anywhere near him"

Why don't you start making polls about which club has held the best Hogroast. You have much more experience and expertise in that field.

Stop being such a girls blouse Caerdiffi. Do you reckon Ali would have beaten Norman Wisdom in his prime?

Not really. It's just that you've picked one of the greatest sportsmen ever who according to most boxing experts was top of the tree in his discipline and you are making polls with guys who couldn't lace his boots.
    IT WAS A PORK SANDWICH

Yeah fair point, the fact I once attended a hog roast does invalidate any boxing polls I make.

Actually I am a fan of Ali but I'm just not one of this strange fraternity of people that seem to think that Ali was completely infallible and a sort of cross between Iron Man, Jesus and the Incredible Hulk.

Ali was unique with the speed and movement for his size. When he was at his peak I don't think any boxer could have lived with him.

For balance , How is Lennox Lewis not fit to lace Ali's boots ? He beat every opponent he ever faced. Last man to unify the belts too
The two fights Lewis lost, Rahman and McCall, were avenged when he stopped both fighters in the rematches.
