However, if you are saying that Lewis' reach advantage would have been the thing which enabled him to beat Ali, then I'd say you are completely wrong. I agree with those who say that Lewis could have gone the distance in another Ali v Bugner type fight, but the result would have been the same - a pretty comfortable points win for Ali.

For balance , How is Lennox Lewis not fit to lace Ali's boots ? He beat every opponent he ever faced. Last man to unify the belts too

Lewis was far bigger and far better than Joe Bugner so not a valid comparison imho. Ali never faced anyone like Lewis or indeed Klitchko. No one was that size at the time. He wasn't invincible at all for example Frazier spanked him in their first fight when he was close to his prime. How is he getting past Lewis jab?
