Millwall decline Cardiff opening bid for Scott Malone

We apparently bid £75k for the left back out of contract this summer yesterday.

Sounds like no or limited futures for Fabio and Declan John then.

Apparently Millwall more interested in a player swap. Slade has about 25 options there!

Last season we were shopping at Harrods or Harvey Nicks, this year it's Poundland.

They problem last year was we could of paid poundland prices and wages instead we paid a shit loads of money or very average players.

Sensible championship type player, out of contract, cheap to purchase, only 23, wont want £30k a week ,can score goals, over 6ft tall,so taller than current fullbacks ,might be the new Kev .

Who is co-ordinating the scouting now?

John Vik was chief scout (or similar title) under Ole, but he has disappeared from the list of First Team Management profiles on the official site, and no-one there seems to have specific responsibility for scouting or taking options to the Recruitment Panel. I assume he has now left the club.

Someone is doing that job, just not sure who.

First priority must be a defensive midfielder who is comfortable playing in a 4-4-2 system. I obviously assume that Slade won't be changing the formation any time soon.

Also, buy back Gestede and Conway from Blackburn

Surely this January can't be as bad as the one when only Jon Parkin signed. If City are looking at a basement full back for pennies then don't get too excited about any other new signings.

Ant ? I can't say I'm surprised to learn that Ant and Dec are in charge of scouting for us.

My biggest hope is that Slade tries to poach Jobi McAnuff from Orient
