Cardiff boss Russell Slade will use the FA Cup third round clash with Colchester as a chance to rest his under-performing stars.
Bruno Manga looks set to make his final Bluebirds appearance before leaving for the Africa Cup of Nations but he is unlikely to be joined by many of the starting line-up that lost 4-2 to Watford on Sunday.
David Marshall, Peter Whittingham, Sean Morrison, Adam Le Fondre and Craig Noone could all be handed the evening off for a cup tie that is set to be played in front of a meagre crowd.
Anthony Pilkington is available again after his hamstring injury and is likely to come into contention as they look to end a five-game winless run.
Colchester defender Ben Gordon is an injury doubt and striker Rhys Healey is ineligible for the U's, who face Cardiff for the first time in the FA Cup.
Gordon was forced out of Sunday's goalless draw at Crawley midway through the second half due to a knock and was replaced by Cole Kpekawa, who could return to the starting line-up.Healey joined the U's on loan from Cardiff in September and will miss out against his parent club.
Boss Tony Humes must decide whether to stick with teenage midfielder Sammie Szmodics, who stepped in for Craig Eastmond at Crawley, while defender Magnus Okuonghae (Achilles) and winger Drey Wright (knee) are still out
We will make 6 or 7 changes IMO.

One up front? Interesting... against a team a division below us.

His time as a Cardiff player undoubtably finished then

the stadium looks quite empty...
Macheda looked as if he was "blowing" after 10 mins.
Bit of a scorcher from Ralls there, shame the keeper was perfectly placed for it.
oooof that Gorks ..
Adeyemi came close there.
Great save by Moore
I read this comment and wondered what save you were on about, then 20 seconds later I saw the save on my streamOriginally Posted by Daniel15 wrote on Fri, 02 January 2015 20:23
Sears pulling off Turner..
We're absolutely terrible. Haven't really managed to control this game and create clear cut chances. Massive deflection the difference.
Nayfun is just summarising his apathy now..Originally Posted by Daniel15 wrote on Fri, 02 January 2015 20:32
Yes, but 58% possession!
This is uncharted (unimagined) territory.
Enjoy!
(No way that was an OG. Ralls should get that every time).
Has Macheda ever won a header....He is so shite i don't know how he even gets in the squad. Is Whitts ever going to put a tackle in or pass a ball more than 5yds. Just as well up to now Colchester are a very ordinary League 1 team!Originally Posted by VimanaMan wrote on Fri, 02 January 2015 20:38
Wow. Harris with a blinder
2-0
Kads!
This game did not deserve a goal that good
