It's all over twitter about how we 'lie' and exaggerate our crowds!!!! How hard is it to understand the reason why?

I keep reading this on here and really not sure what this says about our posters' understanding of the game and it's policies, but this really isn't unique to us...
The truth is:
* Season Tickets are counted within the published attendance at every club, up and down the country, whether said S/T holder is there or not
* This is not a Vincent Tan ploy to appear popular
* This is not an anti blue conspiracy
As you were.

One of the best jobs around in the 70's working on the turnstyles at NP. One for the club one for me.Originally Posted by Arfur Europe wrote on Fri, 02 January 2015 22:13
Yes but there is a much higher number of season ticket holders at CCFC that "equivalent" clubs and so the figures here are distorted more.
I would say that season tickets amount for 80%+ of total crowd at target but 60% (?) across the championship. The club did a great job of tying people in due to the Wembley appearances and price freeze.
The difference is that we probably have a far higher proportion of fans not bothering to attend.
It doesn't matter how many clubs engage in this activity: The word "attendance" has a dictionary meaning.
