    Being Realistic

What are everyone's honest views on what might be offered by the club regarding a possible compromise on kit colour?

I feel the most that will be offered for next season, (if anything), is Palace stripes or Basle halves. Would this be a total no go, or in the cold light of day would some fans except this as a first step on a potentially long road to getting the blue back completely?

What if the kit changed and the badge remained?

Is there anyone out there for whom true compromise would be an acceptable way to move forward?

Blue kit (not negotiable now). My compromise could be the badge .

Realistically there won't be a compromise.

Cardiff City are still getting crowds of 20,000 so that suggests that the colour is not a big a problem as people would like to believe.

The meeting is simply to guage public support for cheap Season Tickets.

You misunderstand me, nothing is ever going to be the same again, there is always someone that wont be happy unless things are exactly how they were before.

I don't think that is true. We are getting "attendances" of 20,000 but the actual crowd (I.e. bums on seats) is a lot lower. A freedom of information request, as mentioned in another post, would tell us how much lower.

I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see a rebrand reversal but I really don't think this meeting will have that on the agenda.

Vincent strikes me as the type of man who would accept a human sacrifice in his honour, in exchange for a change back to blue.

Freitag, now's your chance to be a hero..... be our sacrifice. Modern day Jesus if you will.

    Re: Being Realistic

Remember that kit that was designed on here with blue shirt and red dragon fade or that badge on here with dragon and bluebird getting equal billing - the fans were always happy to compromise but Tan hasn't been. I don't want our starting position after 2 years of nonsense to be accepting a Palace/Basel kit with a promise of hope for the future, we'll end up with nothing but the club saying they met the fans so they do listen.

and painting the support beams in red

    st price rise

    or was it a nightmare

    Re: Being Realistic

Not for me, but here's my take on what will happen:

    - No compromise will be offered, Cardiff will remain in red for the foreseeable future (whilst Tan is here). He's virtually said so himself.
    - Tan will convert some (10%-20%) of the debt to equity, providing the fans back the club and renew season tickets
    - They'll mention that the club is in serious financial difficulty and without Tan god knows what will happen.

Basically the same shit they peddled before. The cost cutting will then begin, high earners offloaded, with cheap league 1/2 players brought in. Tan will take the parachute payments for the next three years before recalling his debt and leaving us in admin.

    Call me mystic Meg
