Christ we could be in more trouble than i thought.
I was alluding to the fact that, a former professional footballer (which none of you are, by the way), recognises that Slade has inherited a random-as-feck squad of mismatched individuals.
He needs time to sort it all out.
He's right. Look at Man United, full of individuals but cant perform well consistently.
Slade the man with the plan. The plan being 30% or less possession per a game, the key to promotion.

Perhaps we are not seeing the bigger picture :
Slade inherits poor fit championship squad
Squad too big , has to lose bodies.
Overpaid and underachievers need to be removed carefully.
Remaining players not as skilled, low on confidence.
Needs to stabilise club, so were not relegated so we play,low risk football tactics ( including some long ball stuff )
Slade takes a year to build a team
Then we judge
Oh and in the middle of that we get a return to blue and our pride back
