Didnt even get a fair chance. Tan's clearly telling Slade to sell up and cut the wage bill.Originally Posted by Michael Morris wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 09:50
Oh well. Watch him score 20 goals before the end of the season....
Couldn't be more obvious could it? I have no problem with that myself. The sooner the club learns to live within its means the better. No reason why we can't do that with the next 3 seasons of parachute payments and still produce a competitive side. I just wish Tan had made the decision last summer instead of allowing a clueless manager to blow another few million .Originally Posted by Captain Hindsight wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 10:04
Looking forward to the club's statement outlining how much Guerra has cost us.
I wonder if he is going to apologise.Originally Posted by lardy wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 10:25
I signed (Javi Guerra) for a three year's contract, he will be joining us in the next season.
But it is our debt he used to furnish OGS with his 'overexcited kid in a sweetshop' fundOriginally Posted by Eric The Blue wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 10:18
Article from Walesonline about our transfers.

Ole spent over £20m?! On what?!
Adeyeni - said to be £1 million plus add ons.Originally Posted by Optimistic Nick wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 10:52
Jones paid peanuts and had about a billion loans.
Malky threw money around like a mad man.
Ole started a footballer collecting club.
Slade is managing the fire sale. We'll be back to the Jones days in less than 12 months.
Rubbish mostly.Originally Posted by Optimistic Nick wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 10:52
Now that our identity has been restored we have to sort out the mess off the field; Tan's structure has wasted so much money in the past three windows (at least) which has only added to our financial problems.Originally Posted by Jeff Mansfield wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 10:40
I dont think it takes top journalism skills to write an article stating we've wasted a lot of money over the past few years.Originally Posted by surge wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 11:12
No, but it takes especially poor journalism skills to avoid the story which is what the Echo would have done if we were still playing in red (ignoring that one editor who helped promoted the Trust shirt). Remember this is the paper that once had Tan's holiday snaps as front page newsOriginally Posted by qccfc wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 11:16
We still see posts questioning why we are now signing players on the cheap. It outlines why fans demand the types of crazy spending decision which we see at clubs today.Originally Posted by surge wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 11:21
Unfortunately , we won`t be able to read TOBW in the Echo from now on as Paul has given up his column.Originally Posted by surge wrote on Thu, 15 January 2015 11:12
Not good enough for a midtable championship team but good enough for a midtable La Liga team... Yeah right!
