Rangers game called off after about half hour of football.
Has this happened to a Cardiff game in recent years? And if so when?
I've been to Carlisle and got outside the ground for it to be called off.
Years ago I travelled to Port Vale and game was called off 15 minutes or so before it was due to start!
I went to Huddersfield years ago (Leeds road ground) on way back to my ship in Scotland or Newcastle over a Christmas or New Years leave period. Went on train and when i got to the ground i found out it had been called off. Can't remember the year, guessing 1994. At least i didn't have to go back and had a ticket for the onward journey. Still pissed off at the time though.

Bolton away fa cup.
and another one on the ccsc bus when the tit used to run it.
Bolton in the FA Cup years ago.Snowed off when we were 10 miles away. A minibus full of us went to WBA v Blackburn instead and went in the WBA end. All was well until we spotted Nathan Blake warming up on the pitch. After asking him to do the ayatollah, someone unfurled a Welsh flag with CCFC on it. We then got surrounded by angry locals until stewards stepped in.
We got ejected, escorted around the pitch, where Frank Burrows told us to feck off and we were put in the corner with about 300 other City fans.
It was chaos. Everyone was pissed, the cops would only let 2 people at a time into the bogs (shared with Albion fans) and both sets of fans wanted to kill us.
Then it got worse. Blakey scored right in front of us and he came to us to celebrate, not the Blackburn fans!! I think it was 2-2 or 3-3 and every time someone scored we celebrated. Because of our split loyalties everyone wanted to do us harm.
It was like Zulu. Completely mental!
I went to the same Carlisle game as mentioned above.(went back to the Clubhouse)
Also Darlington - went to watch Bridlington Town.
Gillingham in the cup - went to watch Fulham v Sheffield Wednesday.
Bolton in the cup - went to Wigan v Wolves.
Oldham - went to Bury v Rochdale
A game in the mid 80's (can't recall where)- ended up in Maine Road watching man City v Southampton.
West brom(v Sheff Utd) - had to come home.
I'm sure there are a few more.
Think it was Derby at Ninian park about 5/6 years ago... called off for a frozen pitch, if I remember.
Think we won the re-arranged match 6-0 or something.
EDIT: Link here, dated Jan 10, 2009...

I've been to two games where the floodlights have failed leading to the matches being abandoned mid-way through - Forest Green and Cheltenham not City.
Went to Shrewsbury about 15 years ago when it was called off last minute. In my mind it was shortly after the Bolton Fa cup game that was called off but that could be my memory playing tricks.
A few games at NP should have been called off but weren't. Can't remember opposition or when but remember at least one game where fog limited visibility to about twenty metres and the grange end not being able to see an away goal scored at the canton end
The archetypal rainy Tuesday night put paid to the Hartlepool game at their place. We went into their clubhouse I think it was called the Corner Flag. We watched Newcastle playing some Greek side I think, was drinking the local bitter Cameron's strong arm at £1-50 a pint. That was the mid 90's only about 30 odd drove up there. The club paid for us to travel back up there about 3 weeks later.I think we won 3-2

Anther one was Rochdale away probably in the 80s (think it was post Durban years) The Egg game Wales v France or England was on in their club house. About 14.30 someone popped their head into say the game was off. Gutted. We ended up going to Bury v Doncaster. I also went to the rochdale re arranged game. Wish i could remember what year this was.

Bolton away in the seventies, game got called off so we went to Rochdale v Workington, about four bus loads of city fans all supporting Workington. They won 3-1, their only away win that season. Their players applauded us at the end of the game.
i got pulled over by police once, i was towing an empty horse box
police asked, whats all that about
i said i was taking a non runner to chepstow
Midweek game? I remember pulling up to the car park to be greeted by a grinning steward who was more than happy to tell me the game was off. Lots of City fans drove into Birmingham to watch Delaney playing for Villa.Originally Posted by jimmytaff wrote on Fri, 16 January 2015 20:45
Went to Port Vale, called Off, Went to Port Vale for the rearranged game, called off. Went to 3rd game, it was ok, think we won 4-1. Also Bolton in the FA Cup years ago.
I recall 12 of us travelling in the back of a transit van with no seats to S****horpe* back in the early 80s - in the days before mobile phones. We were listening to tapes so did not hear the announcemnts on the radio that the game had been called off about two hours before we got to the ground.
(*I think it was s****horpe - definitely north east somewhere)
Pretty sure it was a Tuesday. Loads of us instead if the usual 2 or 3 only for it to get called offOriginally Posted by The Raven wrote on Fri, 16 January 2015 21:51
The Derby game that Celtic Knight referenced above plus a game away at Exeter many years ago that we had booked a weekend down in Devon for. worst away planning though was the 2-2 draw at Twerton vs rovers, walked to the ground at 2.30 and the masses were coming away from the ground, didn't know it was an ealy KO.
Luton Town in 1970. Went up on a football special train so we were stuck up there for a few hours. Went to see the film Monty Walsh starring Lee Marvin to kill a few hours. Lots of other City fans had the same idea and the balcony was draped in blue and white scarves .

City at home to some team or other ( Pompey ? ) in the 60's abandoned after half
an hour and a City fan punched Scoular in the mouth afterwards.
