No one wants to play Ravel Morrison, Daehli wouldn't be as effective in such a static midfield and the obsession with Guerra is weird - it's certainly not based on what he did here.
Slade's Cardiff seriously lack creativity (though I don't remember too much against Fulham or Blackburn earlier in the season) and I wouldn't exactly call it a diamond: it's 3 players about as slow as each other moving up and down, side to side and generally being bypassed by any side with pace.
The best comment from the echo in reaction the last two games is pointing out that even though Slade played Connolly before Fabio or John our defence still opened up, why not play a natural fullback?
