It doesn't take a genius to work out that the squad assembled was both way too big and lacking in the right mix of players, but this fire sale doesn't make sense at all - how is the club saving money by terminating contracts? Surely these players have to be paid off?
If Tan is asset stripping for a sale, he's in real danger of ending up with a League One club, which will surely be worth less than a Championship club. He's on track to lose even more money by getting rid of players who might be in with a chance of sorting out our problems on the pitch.
Can anyone offer a reasonable explanation of what's happening?
I can see the asset stripping angle, and i cannot see a sale in the immediate future, mainly because i dont think we are an attractive proposition.Originally Posted by El Cheapo wrote on Sun, 25 January 2015 17:16
