This article is basically outlining that in the UK we have a appetite for football on tv, and are quite happy to pay through the nose to get to watch football on tv. TV channels then compete with each other to show football, which drives the price up thus leading to clubs getting more money.
In Spain the club negotiate their own deals, which lead to a system where the top 2 get the largest share of the money with the other clubs getting very little.
It seems that the German model is orientated by actual match attendance and experience, rather than the fans sitting at home and paying tv companies for the experience.
So they get less TV money and cheaper ticket prices yet have some of the worlds best players .
