Thread: This 'new coach' coming in.

    This 'new coach' coming in.

If its true that a new first team coach is coming in in the next week or so then is the following scenario possible.

Russell Slade is made Director of Football and moved upstairs - as a precursor to the sack in the summer but acts as a way to save him and Tan some face. The new First Team coach is to all intents and purposes the new manager and tasked with sorting out the mess Ole started and Slade made worse?

Ive not heard anymore about this new chap coming in, but i cant see someone coming here to work UNDER Slade with the First Team unless they are a sunday league manager.

Any new coach would be wasted as long as Slade is around.

Time for Tan's mum to guide him again.

Tan's mum is our only hope...... "Vincent, Slade is rubbish"

Given the very low salary (for a Championship coaching team) that Slade and his assistants are reportedly being paid I don't hold out much hope of us bringing in someone of a particularly high calibre. Not much faith in anybody in our club being able to select one either.

Brentford's coach is apparently out of contract in the summer?

If the rumours about Slade's salary are true I'd be surprised if he wasn't the lowest paid manager at this level.

I don't think we'd have the slightest chance of getting someone like him on the wages we would be offering for a first team coach or a number 2.
Even when he takes us down he will be poorly paid for a league one manager, but If he was paid on results he would be a millionaire !!

Where did these rumours of new coach come from? Is there any evidence that there is truth in them?

Yes he is still head of coaching there despite all the managers that have come and gone since he's been there.Dave Moans was a lucky man to have him
