Thread: Sayings That People Get Wrong

    Sayings That People Get Wrong

I'll start with 'early doors'. I am not 100% sure this is wrong, but it may have resulted from an ex footballer/presenter saying EARLY DOORS instead of EARLY DAYS.

    Can you think of any?

I thought early doors originated from the pubs closing during the day and then reopening early evening?

It winds me up when people say "a 12 month". It's not a 12 month, it's 1 year.

    Sorry - but doesn't 12 months = 1 year; just as 3 feet = a yard? Aren't these people justified in using 12 month(s)? Just a thought like.
