    Video Editing Software

Anyone used Lightworks and Blender, and if so how did you get on with them?

    PC or MAC ?

Final cut pro for Mac and Sony Vegas for PC are the 2 I've come across

Never used the ones you mentioned though

    Is Adobe Premiere around nowadays?

I should have said, its for PC.

I think you have to pay for Final Cut, the Sony one and Adobe Premiere. Although there are ways and means around that.

Lightworks is very powerful and there are lots of instructional videos on YouTube, but its a steep learning curve.

    Thanks anyhow.

If you want low cost you could probably snag the last years version of Adobe Premiere Elements or Sony Vegas for relative peanuts on ebay.

I like it - fast rendering but also some niggly problems, so about to move over to Final Cut Pro X

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll download some demo versions and make my mind up after.
