Final cut pro for Mac and Sony Vegas for PC are the 2 I've come across

I should have said, its for PC.

I think you have to pay for Final Cut, the Sony one and Adobe Premiere. Although there are ways and means around that.

Lightworks is very powerful and there are lots of instructional videos on YouTube, but its a steep learning curve.

If you want low cost you could probably snag the last years version of Adobe Premiere Elements or Sony Vegas for relative peanuts on ebay.

Yep. Ive been using it (on PC) for a 'sideline' gig that I do.

If it's a one off job get on oDesk and pay someone peanuts spread your wealth around the world.

I like it - fast rendering but also some niggly problems, so about to move over to Final Cut Pro X
