We also could have been 2-0 down if they had a bit more luck in front of goal.
I wonder how much a hard match last Saturday against Millwall took out of them.
They just never seemed to have the legs for it once we went in front.
B 2 B.
I like Steve Evans but he was talking rubbish about the 3 big refereeing decisions that he claimed went against Rotherham.
Matt Derbyshire was half a yard offside when he was flagged before putting the ball in the net in the first half (about 10 minutes in). It did come off Bruno, but the flag was up before that.
He claimed Macheda was offside for the second goal. There was no way of telling from the away end, but the highlights show him to be a good two yards onside.
He moaned about the foul given against Paul Green when Moore spilled the ball near the final whistle, when Rotherham could have walked it into the net - but Green clearly kicked the ball out of Moore's hands.
That said, if Rotherham had turned their control and superiority into goals (2 good chances) in the first 20 minutes, it would have been a very different story.
Great to see 3 goals on a freezing night. Manga made some awful errors in the game though after his howler v wolves. He needs to get concentrating again. Better than that.
Considering we have been beaten by Millwall and Blackpool back to back wins against teams fighting for their lives is an improvement.
Cheers Mike
Manga is absolute quality one minute - then almost disastrous the next. His tackle against James McClean was terrific, he also got Sean Morrison out of jail against Rotherham - but he's completely messed up at least 3 times in those short highlights.
The idea that any commentator could ask how a football club would cope losing someone who takes corners is frankly preposterous.
What people still fail to realise is that all the corner taker does is put the ball into good positions and that it is the other players attacking the ball who actually score the goal and do the hard work.
I daresay that most players in our team could take a decent corner. Its a corner FFS.
