Im not sure what you mean by 'right'. If one country declares war on another then invades them, should we stand back and say - 'well they had every right to invade, they are at war?'

Putin is being blamed for everything from the common cold to all sorts of wild conspiracy theories. Fortunately Russia has Putin and Lavrov who are two of the coolest heads around on the world stage. Fortunately also for us, Russia doesn't have the political hysterical lightweights on their side that we seem to be encumbered with.

I acknowledge your question. I won't ignore it. But I believe that this forum is not quite the appropriate one to expand in any sort of detail on that subject. Anything less than a comprehensive, detailed discussion simply wouldn't do it justice. It's too emotional as an issue and too many people have deeply entrenched views on it.

I agree that British politicians are lightweight and it really is a concern that we could end up with even more lightweight and such politically correct coalition leaders in Milliband, Harmon, Balls and possibly Clegg.

We can discuss whether Russia is under attack from the West or not. My view is that it is, and Britain is sleepwalking towards a massive problem by going along with it.

NATO tried to interfere in Georgia and Russia soon slapped that down. This time it's more serious, and we stand to be caught out sleep walking into a situation, that we will find very difficult to get out of.
