I've never previously used the collective knowledge of CCMB before so here goes ..
I've purchased a case for a small piece of electronic equipment and I need a piece of precision cut foam to complete the jigsaw.
Can anybody recommend somewhere local who can do it?
No.
Sorry mate.
Most upholsterers will do it for you but these guys are brilliant if you're near them : http://www.stagesoundservices.co.uk/flight-cases
I used to have a memory mattress but can't remember where I put it.

Gluey do you know anything about cd players?
Inside my cdj the cd player looks a bit like that ^ one, it's a separate unit that just plugs in, you can't get them any more, do you reckon a different one would play?
There used to be a place called the foam shop on a side street off Whitchurd Road - not far from those 2 sports shops - it was on the heath hospital side of the road.
They cut foam - as you would expect a foam shop to do....
There's a pub called The Foam Inn.
It's on the River Severn somewhere, but I'm not sure where. Anyone know ?
I ha r a stack of old cd drives from computers if you want one. Look similar.Originally Posted by Mrs Steve R wrote on Wed, 11 March 2015 14:09
Just check they've got the same connector plugsOriginally Posted by Mrs Steve R wrote on Wed, 11 March 2015 14:09
I had the same idea (great minds and all that ) I was going to try the one I have in an old pc just to see if it would play but I haven't taken it apart yet, I don't really have much hope of it working properly as I need the pitch control to work too, thanks anyway though.Originally Posted by Barry Dragon wrote on Wed, 11 March 2015 15:07
Digital audio is all 0's and 1's, the pitch control won't be implemented in the CD player.Originally Posted by Mrs Steve R wrote on Wed, 11 March 2015 16:18
That's what I thought.Originally Posted by Gluey wrote on Wed, 11 March 2015 16:29
The audio stream will be fed into a buffer and then an algorithm will be applied to the data.Originally Posted by Mrs Steve R wrote on Wed, 11 March 2015 16:32
That blew my hair as it went over my head.Originally Posted by Gluey wrote on Wed, 11 March 2015 16:39
