Gluey do you know anything about cd players?

Inside my cdj the cd player looks a bit like that ^ one, it's a separate unit that just plugs in, you can't get them any more, do you reckon a different one would play?

I ha r a stack of old cd drives from computers if you want one. Look similar.

I had the same idea (great minds and all that ) I was going to try the one I have in an old pc just to see if it would play but I haven't taken it apart yet, I don't really have much hope of it working properly as I need the pitch control to work too, thanks anyway though.

Digital audio is all 0's and 1's, the pitch control won't be implemented in the CD player.

That's what I thought.

The buffer is a little old man called Al who dances in the machine and an Algorithm is his own syncopated beat.

The audio stream will be fed into a buffer and then an algorithm will be applied to the data.
