In 2012 The club was happy to lose 25% of supporters

Now they are desperate to get the core fans back with email and letters to renew.
They did not give a **** about the fans and ridiculed us as "customers"

Seems Tan's bluff was called, and he lost.

They ignored the golden rule of never shit on the ones who've been loyal when on your way up because they're the ones you're going to need most on your way down. It's come back to bite them in the arse.

It's a pity it wasn't called at the Huddersfield game.

Reality was 26,000 turned up when we were in red and doing well.
now in blue no one cares anymore ... 10,000 is looking optimistic for next season.....
where are the thousands that back to blue boasted about?

Not sure sending out marketing emails and letters is "desperate". It's basic business sense.

True but it is very poor business to find it ok to lose 25% of previously loyal customers when you're doing well then start grovelling when you're not. It's not surprising people he upset are not rushing back, i would'nt.

Who cares if people don't renew because we aren't winning the championship. These are fans we are better off without.

I renewed 3 STs on Thursday.
We were always going to renew. the blue shirt and ditching the beermat helped, but wasn't decisive.
I get to have a regular pint with my two sons - that is not to be sniffed at.
