Thread: Welsh cup and Europe

  1. #1

    Welsh cup and Europe

Tonight Montreal Impact are playing in the CONCAF Champions League. They are representing Canada as they won the Canadian Championship which is actually a knockout cup.

And yet they play in the MLS.

So if they can have the best of both worlds why can't we?

The Puerto Rico team in CONCACAF are the same, they are in the second tier in the USA. I'm not sure but there might be other island clubs taking the same route.

Isn't the Cardiff issue more to do with UEFA being stricter than other authorities?
