Thread: Labour supporters make the majority of alcoholics - discuss!

Labour supporters make the majority of alcoholics - discuss!

alcoholism is an illness, of that there is no doubt but there is a huge difference between alcohol (and drug dependency) when compared to cancer - as an example.

Cancer is non-discriminatory, it goes for anyone and everyone. Alcohol is not, it is specific, it only targets people who actually drink it. Alcohol is a massive issue that targets poor people. There is no argument that socio-economically deprived people make up the massive majority of alcoholics.

Poorer, working class people then, tend to vote labour, this is also not in question - Labour target the masses.

    So my question is this?

Should the decisions for the future of this country be left to the mentally weak who are prone to alcoholism?

Alcoholism is only a disease for the poor. The rich alcoholics never get diagnosed. There is your answer.

The ConDem government has been enough to turn any poor person to drink ( if they can afford it ).

Do you really believe that people in the middle and upper classes don't drink excessively? If you do, then you obviously don't belong to that bracket.
