She can't. It would be the end of the SNP - and would be more catastrophic to them than it was to the Lib Dems. How many Tory MPs from Scotland have there been since 1997? Three. One in 2001, one in 2005 and one in 2010. They had 11 in 1992. The SNP doing a deal with the Tories would see them lose any gains they have made in the last 2 years.

Cameron was hilariously awful as he struggled to control his nasty temper that comes out when people don't agree with them and struggled to avoid giving the same answers that made Osbourne a national laughing stock on the show last week. He did show his total contempt for Scottish voters though, appalled at the idea that Scots may have an influence on the government of the UK. It's stuff like that which fuels the nationalist cause, he wants to represent England (and then only if you're English and don't get ill, as per his answers on food banks). After the SNP landslide, Labour will probably give up on Scotland too, which *may* have the benefit for Wales that they stop being so complacent and taking votes in South Wales for granted so at least pretend to give a gig about us.

My understanding she's not going to be an MP she's not standing, hence her confident blabbering.

She would make a superb leader of a true socialist labour party but she's a nationalist so not my scene

I'd love to see her given some responsibility to actually achieve something.

It's very very easy to carp on from the sidelines in opposition to any Govt. It is entirely different when you actually have to deliver something or actually make a decision that is logically necessary but hard for the public to accept.

Or I guess she could just say feck it - I'm going spend spend spend more so than Brown and Blair and lets see what happens...

Personally I wouldnt trust her to run a bath - but I hope any new Govt gives her the responsibility so we can all see how amazing she is

Sorry to break this to you but she actually runs a government and doesn't sit in opposition. So apart from being factually wrong, you raise some good points.

She perfectly summarised Labour in describing them as the red Tories and saying they were only in interested in the country of London and the city of Westminster. Someone mentioned the SNP winning Scotland might make labour care about Wales but that's a pipe dream.

Yep your right - I was mixing up wee Jimmy Krankee with her husband Salmond.

Having said that - when the SNP get their predicted 40+ new MPs at Westminister - who will make the decisions re who or what the SNP support - will it be Salmond or Sturgeon ?.

Salmond would be 'just' an MP whereas Sturgeon leads the party and is not an MP.

So you would have someone who is not an MP deciding a UK Govt - strange times indeed - if it ever happens

Because it would interfere with her cooking and cleaning chores?

The true bias of the BBC is becoming clearer following Marr's interview with Cameron this morning.

I don't think I have seen a thread where so many people misunderstand something really simple...

    Cameron is in trouble.

    * Right to buy HA properties is going wrong
    * Being the new party of the workers is a terrible joke
    * Obsessed with the SNP
    * Forced to offer a Lloyds Bank shares bribe

    Desperate measures for desparate times.
