Interesting comment about Sam Allardyce and WHU players perhaps giving less than 100% ... "up to 10% less" ... owing to the fact that they may think that big Sam might not be manager next season.
I know it is the end of the season without anything to play for but perhaps City players could be forgiven for not giving 100% if they are uncertain whether the manager will continue or they will be shipped out.

He wasn't so much talking about the manager rather their being doubt in the dressing room over the direction of the club. I think the players can be 100% sure that Slade will be here next season but whether we'll be spending 20 million or 0.5 is a whole other question!

The club put the "season ends here" signs up when they loaned out Jones and Connolly. Perhaps the players cannot be blamed for taking this literally.
The same was said about Newcastle of MOTD2 yesterday, how the dressing room must be awful and the players were clearly not interested in putting any effort into the game.
Our dressing room must be like a morgue.
