And what weight of paper for cover and pages?

Not done so myself, but I gather MS Publisher can do the job, if you have access to Office that has Publisher included.

A quick internet search for Publisher A5 Booklet seems to throw up a fair few walkthroughs also.

I had a book published recently and the page paper and binding made a huge difference to sales.

You aren't meant to judge a book by it's cover

no one uses gloss anymore it's so 80s.

Uncoated is what the design hipsters are using these days

I'd go with something like a 135gsm silk index board self cover, or if you want a separate cover, maybe use a 190gsm for the cover and 115gsm for the internal pages. All descends on what type of work you're producing and its intended use/audience to be honest

Cuts out all the fiddle of sorting, folding and stapling pages and hopefully a better quality print job than DIY.

Yeah, should have made this clear. Its booklet about the history of a small village church. Looking to sell it for around £3.00 and I want it to look attractive and 'classy'.
I'd rip their arms off, that's a cracking deal
