I think 5/10 is very honest and shows he's in touch with what most City fans think. Brendan Rogers gets mocked for describing everything as outstanding, Slade is criticised for being too honest - what are managers meant to do?

The BBC and WOL were giving Slade a difficult time in his press conference this morning, and I think that is the flattest and most miserable I have seen him.

When asked how he would score his and the team's performance since he arrived he came up with '5 out of 10'.
Not likely to inspire confidence in the owner and the Board - let alone the dwindling number of supporters he still has amongst the fans.
He should learn a bit of gallows humour from Lee Clarke!

What can you ask for. Its honest. He had a tough first few months, things improved when he got a chance to bring in some players. Very early this year it was clear a promotion push was not going to happen and it was all about avoiding the collapse of the club. He has done that.
I think (I know many would disagree) that he deserves a go next season, he has proven once he has got the right team in, on and off the field, that he can take things forward. Although it wouldn't have taken much to move forward after Ole! How far forward he can take us I dont know, but I would be willing to give him a go.
