Took some book advice at the start of the year and have either walked or cycled for 40 minutes everyday since then.
Me daughter has entered a 10K run down south in July and during a visit decided to run down the Bay today. I thought I'd run with her for 100 metres to see what speed she was at.
I not only ran 6K with her but she broke her record time trying to keep up
Haven't run that sort of distance for decades.
Well chuffed!
(Anyone got any advice fer knackered knees? )

Just thought I'd post some good, noncontroversial news on here that no-one could troll-up, mushOriginally Posted by Taunton Blue Genie wrote on Wed, 27 May 2015 16:39
Good work!
It's not the exercise for me but the 40 minutes of free time required per day.
Fantastic - well done.
There's a battered Tele in Cranes selling fer £17K. Who owned that, then?Originally Posted by Vimana. wrote on Wed, 27 May 2015 17:14

I've got them too and I would say that if you are going to run find a soft surface, rather than roads or pavements. It may be that your cartilage tissue has gone. If it hasn't gone completely then some herbs - such as comfrey - may be able to restore it. See a herbalist.Originally Posted by Cyclops wrote on Wed, 27 May 2015 16:33

Exercise should be like brushing your teeth, regular maintenance that (most) people do routinely every day.
It only takes a minimum of 15 minutes of decent activity and you're on your way to a better lifestyle.
Fit AND optimistic. Not a bad combination at allOriginally Posted by Cyclops wrote on Wed, 27 May 2015 16:45

FOOL your smart watch into thinking you've run 3 km by having a wank.
Awesome.
